Government funded sessions

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 free hours of childcare per week, starting from the term after their third birthday.

For children aged 2, we are able to offer 15 hours funded places if you are in receipt of certain benefits.

For working parents, we are able to offer funded places for up to 30 hours, subject to eligibility.

Tax credits

If you or your partner work at least 16 hours a week you may be entitled to financial assistance in the form of Family Tax Credits. www.hmrc.gov.uk

Barkway non-ecclesiastical trust funding

Barkway Non-Ecclesiastical Trust was established in 1907 for the residents of Barkway and Nuthampstead. Help is available in the form of small grants and loans to those in financial need or with unexpected financial burdens. If you require temporary financial assistance with preschool fees, please apply using the form below. All information supplied will help the trustees consider each application as quickly as possible and will be handled in the strictest confidence.

Early drop off: Weds - Fri 8.15am - 9.00am = £4.70

Morning session: 9.00am - 12.00pm = £18.75

Lunchtime session: 12.00pm - 1.00pm = £6.25

Afternoon session: 1.00pm - 3.00pm = £12.50

PACKED LUNCHES AND SNACK IDEAS

Children can bring a packed lunch or choose a hot school meal at the cost of £2.61.

We like to encourage children to eat their lunch as independently as possible. We will help children with packaging if they need it, however it would be useful to consider what you put in their lunch so that they can enjoy being independent.

Here are some lunch and snack ideas.

SNACKS

We provide children with a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack for 50p each, or you can provide your own subject to our policies on food allergies. For those children staying for extra hours on a Monday or Tuesday, we povide a warm snack such as beans on toast, also charged at 50p each.

Please note we are a nut-free setting and follow the Early Years
Foundation Stage nutrition guidance.
