Children are welcome to join our Preschool from the age of two

OPEN MORNINGS AND VISITS
​We welcome parents who wish to visit our preschool before applying for a place for their child. Please contact us to arrange a visit. 

SETTLING YOUR CHILD INTO PRESCHOOL
To make your child's transition from home to preschool as smooth as possible we will arrange for you and your child to visit prior to them starting. If more time is needed to settle in we are happy to accommodate. Your child's Key worker will gather information about your child to assist in making them feel happy and comfortable in their new environment.

Funding

GOVERNMENT FUNDED SESSIONS
  • 15 hrs free childcare: All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 free hours of childcare per week, starting from the term after their third birthday.
  • 30 hrs free childcare: We also offer funded places for up to 30 hours per week for 3 to 4 year olds, subject to eligibility. 
  • In addition to being able to offer funded places to children from age 3, we are also able to offer funded places to 2 year olds whose families who meet the set criteria.

CHILDCARE VOUCHERS & TAX FREE CHILDCARE SCHEME
We will continue to accept employer paid childcare vouchers for those still buying them under the old government scheme.  This scheme is now closed to new applicants and has been replaced with the tax free childcare scheme. 
​The tax free childcare scheme enables you to pay money into to a new childcare account and get additional contributions from the government up to a maximum of £,2000 per annum.  For more details and to see if you are eligible go to www.childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk

TAX CREDITS
If you or your partner work at least 16 hours a week you may be entitled to financial assistance in the form of Family Tax Credits. www.hmrc.gov.uk​
BARKWAY NON-ECCLESIASTICAL TRUST FUNDING
Barkway Non-Ecclesiastical Trust was established in 1907 for the residents of Barkway and Nuthampstead. Help is available in the form of small grants and loans to those in financial need or with unexpected financial burdens. If you require temporary financial assistance with preschool fees, please apply using the form below. All information supplied will help the trustees consider each application as quickly as possible and will be handled in the strictest confidence.  ​

​Lunchtime session: £5
​Afternoon session: £11.25

LUNCH & SNACKS
Children can bring a packed lunch or choose a hot school meal at the cost of £2.20.

We provide children with a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack for
20p each, or you can provide your own.

Please note we are a nut-free setting.
