B in the Park
B in the Park is our annual family festival and the preschool's main fundraising event of the year. It is normally a firm fixture on the local calendar, with camping, entertainment, games, crafts, BBQ and bar.
We haven't been able to run this family favourite for the past two years due to Covid 19 however, we are looking very much to bringing it back this year. We don't have a confirmed date as yet but will announce it as soon as we do.
Take part next time
As always we like to involve as many organisations, societies and generally talented people from our villages as we can – whether to set up a stall to showcase what you do, provide some entertainment, or a demonstration for the children and families at the festival. If you would like to get involved at our next event we would love to hear from you.
Volunteer next time
B in the Park is run by volunteers and we need lots of help before the event and on the day. From baking a cake, delivering flyers, selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments, or clearing up, do contact us if you can help - even if it is just for an hour. We would be hugely grateful for any time you can spare.
B in the Park 2019 - another success!
Despite forecasts of thunder and lightning, we were blessed with beautiful sunshine again for B in the Park 2019, welcoming large crowds to our family festival to raise funds for preschool.
The children had a wonderful day filled with games, crafts, a fire engine display, Messy Church, All Stars have-a-go-cricket and entertainment from Squirty Wirty. The ever popular pets' corner made a return, where the children were able to brush a guinea pig, all followed by songs and stories around the campfire and a magical night sleeping under the stars.
The committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone that supported us, especially all those who gave up their time to entertain the crowds, volunteered to help set up or man the bar, donated raffle prizes or lent us equipment.
B in the Park is Barkway Preschool’s main fundraiser for the year and everyone's efforts go a long way to helping us protect this valuable resource for our children and those that will follow after them.
