Karen Lavers BA(Hons) - Leader Level 6
Karen has a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional Status and is a Paediatric First Aider. Karen has more than 15 years experience in childcare and has managed a number of other early years settings as well teaching children with special needs. “I love working in the preschool setting and supporting each child to have fun, develop and learn”.
Sue Watson - Deputy Leader Level 3
Sue has a Cache Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce and is a qualified Paediatric First Aider. She joined the Preschool in September 2013 having previously worked as a Nanny. Sue's kind hearted, gentle approach wins the hearts of even the most apprehensive of our new starters and she loves to involve all the children in special craft activities.
Fiona Jordon - Assistant Level 3
Fiona has a Diploma in Pre-School Practice (Level 3) and is a qualified Paediatric First Aider. Fiona shows a natural empathy for the needs of the children and instinctively shapes each session to accommodate their characteristics. And of course she is our glitter Queen and Christmas Fairy – her enthusiasm is infectious!
Jenny Young - Assistant Level 2
Jenny has more than 20 years experience working at the Preschool and seen hundreds helped hundreds of local children to flourish in her time with us. Her years of experience add balance to the team and her genuine affection for all the children makes her a firm favourite among them.
Lisa Jarman - Trainee for Level 3
Affectionately known by the children as 'Mrs Lollipop', Lisa assists in Preschool and runs our Wednesday morning parent & toddler group at the village hall. She has great rapport with the children and is always full of wonderful new ideas to keep them entertained. She is currently studying for her level 3 qualification..
Kim Lee-Aimes - Trainee for Level 3
Our newest team member, Kim, is proving to be a big hit with the children. She is always keen to play and join in with a puzzle, encouraging the children to try new things and teaching them how to share and take turns..
